James Mandel is President and Chief Executive Officer of OrangeHook, Inc. Previously, Mr. Mandel was President and Chief Executive Officer of Multiband Corporation, a technical services company with approximately 4,000 employees and $300 million in annual sales revenue. Multiband was sold to Goodman Networks in August 2013 for approximately $120 million in cash. Mr. Mandel continued in his role as CEO until July 2014. His background also includes being the Vice President of Systems for Grand Casinos, where his duties involved managing the system design, development, installation and on-going maintenance for the 2,000 room, $507 million annual revenue Stratosphere Hotel, Casino and Tower in Las Vegas. He formerly served as a Chairman of the Board of Directors for CorVu Corporation, an international software development company which was sold in June of 2007, and currently serves as a director for GeoSpan Corporation, a geo-spatial mapping corporation that operates nationally and is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Robert F. Riess is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of OrangeHook, Inc. Previously, Mr. Riess was the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Multiband Corporation. He presided in the telecommunications industry for over 18 years providing sales and marketing leadership, development, and deployment managing teams of up to 265 employees. Some examples include; creation and successful deployment of a branding strategy for a publically traded company, a proven successful track record in developing and managing a nationwide residential sales force, development and deployment of a twelve state security division, and development and implementation of a nationwide multi-dwelling unit marketing platform including a field sales force and multiple Call Centers of up to 150 seats to support its success. He has a double major in Marketing and Logistics as well as received his master’s degree in Business from Central Michigan University.
Mr. Hattara was previously (since 2000) the CEO of Datacard Group, privately held technology company with annual revenues of approximately $500 million that sells within both the identity card and financial card markets. Datacard continues to be the world’s leading provider of card printing hardware and software, with sales in over 130 countries. Prior to that, he was also the Chief Financial Officer for BMC Industries, Inc. (NYSE), a precision electronics manufacturing and optical company. But the roots of his career started in Chicago where he was the Director of Corporate Finance for USG Corporation (NYSE) and was directly responsible for multi-billion dollar financings and Treasury operations. From there he went global, and became the Chief Financial Officer for USG International, the company’s international entity before leaving in 1997 for BMC and then Datacard in Minnesota. Mr. Hattara was also educated in Chicago and earned his MBA at Northwestern University, J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management (1994).
David Carlson is the Chief Financial Officer of OrangeHook, Inc. Previously, Mr. Carlson was the Vice President of Financial Operations at Multiband Corporation, a technical services company, where he was responsible for providing financial support to the entire organization including financial analysis, raising debt and equity financing, investor relations and cash management. Prior to working at Multiband, Mr. Carlson worked as the Vice President of Finance for CorVu Corporation, an international business intelligence software company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Carlson has over thirty-five years of financial management experience, working for both the private and public companies. He received a degree in Accounting from Southwest Minnesota State University in 1979.
Colleen Davenport has served as OrangeHook’s General Counsel since August 2016. From 1989 to 2008, she served in various capacities as in-house counsel at Analysts International Corporation (AIC), a then-publicly held IT consulting services firm, including Secretary and General Counsel for nearly eight years prior to leaving the company. While at AIC, Ms. Davenport practiced in the areas of SEC compliance and corporate governance, general corporate law and corporate financing, drafting and negotiation of IT services, software development, outsourcing, managed services and license agreements and employment and immigration law and compliance. After leaving AIC, she owned her own law practice and consulting firm for several years and then served as in-house Corporate Counsel for Insignia Systems, Inc., a publicly-held in-store advertising and promotions company, from 2011 to 2014, again practicing in the areas of securities compliance and corporate governance, commercial transactions, contract drafting and negotiation and employment law. Most recently, she was an independent attorney at Merrill Corporation where she was responsible for all domestic IT service and product vendor contracts, post-closing merger and acquisition work and commercial real estate from 2015 until joining OrangeHook. She holds a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and bachelor of arts degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College.
Kevin Klopfenstein is the Executive Vice President of Finance of OrangeHook, Inc. Mr. Klopfenstein has over twenty-five years of progressive financial and accounting leadership experience with publicly traded and private equity sponsored companies in a variety of industries, including Software as a Service, technology solutions, business services and manufacturing. These companies include ABILITY Network, Inc., ConvergeOne, Fiserv Corporation, Eaton Corporation and Emerson Electric Company. Over his career Mr. Klopfenstein has been integral to fourteen acquisitions and numerous divestures and debt financings. Mr. Klopfenstein is a certified public accountant and holds a BBA in Accounting degree from the University of Iowa and a MBA degree from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
David Batchelor is a key thought leader within healthcare technology, national speaker, committee participant of patient identity standards and founder/innovator of identity validation solutions that improve workflow efficiencies, data accuracy for patient care and big data analytics. This directly impacts government, healthcare providers, insurance companies, secured cities and smarter communities, first responders and more. To help solve patient identity, privacy, safety and security requirements, in 2009 David founded LifeMed ID; a suite of software solutions that seamlessly automates patient identity validation, record matching, insurance and payment requirements while unifying one patient identity across disparate groups in the healthcare continuum. David Batchelor’s invited to speak nationally at HIMSS, NAHAM, Secured Cities, MIFA, Big Data 360 and Smart Card Alliance and Government conferences and contributes to multiple white papers adopting patient identity in healthcare. Mr. Resnick has served in various capacities for AT&T from 2003 to 2013. Most recently from 2012 to 2013, Mr. Resnick served as the Senior Vice President of AT&T where he led the National Business Markets organization. This premise-based sales force was responsible for selling all products under the AT&T portfolio to over 70,000 clients. Mr. Resnick served as the Senior Vice President of Global Service Management for AT&T from 2009 to 2012. From 2006 to 2009 Mr. Resnick served as the Senior Vice President of Global Network Field Operations for AT&T. From 2003 to 2006 Mr. Resnick served as the President of AT&T Mexico in Mexico City. Mr. Resnick brings an extensive amount of IT, Networking and Telecommunications industry knowledge to Nuvel. He has had the opportunity of working across a host of disciplines including Enterprise Sales, Network Operations, Customer Care as well as International Operations. Mr. Resnick graduated from University of California Irvine with a degree in Economics and Management Sciences in 1988.
Mr. Huffman graduated from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina with a Batchelor of Arts Degree in Economics, and a Batchelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Huffman is a member of the Asian Economic Council, the CRTEC (Charlotte Regional Technology Executive Council), and Roubini Global Economics Group. Mr. Huffman is a registered High School Official with the State of North Carolina (NCHSSA) having received the Dick Knox Distinguished Service Award in 2012.
